Working Jack Russell Terriers

what to expect...

when you're expecting

Our puppies typically leave our home somewhere between 8 and 10 weeks old.  It is important that their first vaccine have time to take over from their maternal immunity and they have appropriate socialization time with their siblings/mother before leaving for their new families.

When your puppy leaves for it's new home it will have had:

  • Major socialization from my kids, friends, and strangers (some of our friends are strange, (just kidding))
  • 2 fecal examinations performed (fecal float and Giardia)
  • First deworming
  • First vaccine (DA2PP)
  • Microchip
  • BAER (Hearing) test performed
  • 5 generation pedigree
  • A sample of their current food to transition over to what you will feed
  • Lots of other great swag!

*NOTE:  We do NOT ship puppies!  Arrangements must be made for you to come to us to pick up your puppy.

  • As mentioned in other areas of our website, we take the roll of breeding VERY seriously and if for ANY reason at ANY time in the dog's life, you can no longer care for him/her, we will take him/her back.  We feel that we bring these dogs into the world and it is our responsibility to make sure they have the best life available and we DO NOT want them ending up in a situation were they are unable to be cared for in the way they deserve.
  • We do not breed just to breed here at Latest Addition Jack Russell Terriers.  We breed for a purpose. That purpose is to improve the breed.  Every litter is planned with great thought, research, and decisiveness.  (Sometimes I agonize over these decisions!!!)  We consult with breed judges and other JRTCA enthusiasts. Therefore, we always reserve the right to the first choice in the litter (and in some cases the second).  Since we can never guarantee what will be produced, i.e. color, sex, coat type, quantity of pups in a litter etc, if you would like to get on our waiting list, we require a 100.00 non refundable deposit unless arrangements have been made.

  • Once a deposit is made, you will be placed on the list and when we have a pup available to you, we will contact you.  People wanting specific coats (which we NEVER guarantee) or sexes may have to wait longer than those without a preference.

  • A Jack Russell Terrier is not the dog for everyone.  They require plenty of exercise and may even want a "job" to do.  While breeding for correctness and working ability, temperament plays a LARGE roll in out breeding program.  We love our dogs and give them plenty of stimulation to keep them from getting into trouble.  Please do your research before delving into this breed.  We love to "talk terriers" so if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us.  For more information on the breed, check out the JRTCA website by clicking here.

  • As breeders, we are here for you throughout the life of your puppy.  If at any point during their life, you have questions or concerns, we are just a phone call or text away.  We LOVE hearing from our "puppy people"!
